North Port, Florida – The Atlanta brave launcher, Spencer Stider, struck out six and did not allow a base corridor of 2 2/3 tickets in his first appearance in the Pomelo League since he submitted to Tommy John Surgery last year.
The only two batters from Boston’s red socks to avoid hitting against Stider were David Hamilton and Nick Urdard. Hamilton was based on the second to start the game. Urdard led the third entry by hitting a pop in the third base Austin Riley.
Strider began only two games and it was 0-0 with an effectiveness of 7.00 last year before closing the rest of the season. That followed a 2023 season in which he had 20-5 with an effectiveness of 3.86 and 281 strikeouts in the big leagues in 186 2/3 tickets.
He made the NL All-Star team and finished fourth in the vote of the Cy Young award in 2023.
Strider, 26, has a 32-10 race record and an effectiveness of 3.47 with 495 strikeouts in 329 2/3 tickets. Had only made 33 appearances in the big leagues when the Braves signed it to a six -year contract and $ 75 million in October 2022.
