Maryland Senator Chris van Hollen, standing in front of a backdrop of palm trees, Posted a video To social networks with an update on your trip to El Salvador on Wednesday.
The Democratic legislator hopes to obtain answers about the unfair deportation of a Maryland migrant, Kilmar Abrego García, by the Trump administration.
Van Hollen said he has had “consecutive meetings” in the country, with members of the groups of the embassy and human rights of the United States. He also mentioned his meeting again with the vice president of El Salvador.

“And all the purpose has been to take Abrego García home,” said the senator.
Van Hollen also said he called the Government of El Salvador to provide evidence that Abrego García was involved in MS-13, they could not.
“They said they had no evidence,” he said.
“So this is not about MS-13. I know that President Trump wants to do this about the violence of the gangs. I have been fighting MS-13, probably more time than Donald Trump, even about Mrs. 13. I care all the victims of the crime. That is why we have a judicial system to hold people responsible when they commit crimes, to ensure that they obtain the punishment they deserve.
