San Francisco – Thousands of travelers in the San Francisco Bay area were struggling for alternative routes after their regional closer rail system known as Bart closed throughout the system for several hours on Friday morning.
Bay Area Rapid Transit said he could not execute his trains control system due to malfunction. A Bart spokesman said in his media telephone line that they could not turn on the train control system, which prevented them from being able to safely operate trains. The cause was not provided immediately.
Bart takes almost 175,000 people most of the week. The system fell shortly after 5 am and the service was not completely restored until around 9 am, which complicated morning trips. Bart also runs to the San Francisco International Airport. Ferry and Buses alternative service took a step forward to help passengers reach destinations.
