Stone Mountain, Georgia – The man whose body burned It was found Near the top of Stone Mountain on the outskirts of Atlanta died for suicide, authorities said on Sunday.
The body was found near the top of the mountain on Saturday morning after a hiker who discovered that he called 911, said Stone Mountain Park police spokesman John Bankhead.
Police determined that the man died from suicide after his parents found a note with details about how and where he planned to commit suicide. The police also obtained their driver’s license and determined that he was a white man about 20 years old.
The body was taken to the Office of the Forensic Doctor of Dekalb County and the Georgia Research Office is investigating his death.
Stone Mountain is out of Atlanta and presents a giant size of Confederate leaders, General Robert E. Lee, Confederate President Jefferson Davis and General Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson on his north face.
