The actor Halle Bailey receives a restriction order against rapper DDG alleging violence

Los Angeles – A Los Angeles judge has granted a restriction order to the actor and singer of “The Little Mermaid” Falle BaileyWho says that her ex -boyfriend, rapper and youtuber DDG has been repeatedly violent with her and she fears for herself and for the baby they have together.

The judge ordered DDG on Tuesday, whose legal name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., who stayed away from Bailey and his 17 -month -old son, Halo, until a hearing on June 6.

“Throughout our relationship,” Bailey said in documents requesting the order: “Daryl has been and remains physical, verbal, emotionally and financially towards me. I am looking for orders to protect myself and our son Halo Halo from his continuous abuse.”

A message looking for a comment from a Granberry representative was not responded immediately.

Bailey, 25, and Granberry, 27, were in a relationship from 2022 to last year, and since their breakdown there have been “multiple acts of physical violence,” Bailey said.

In a January incident that he recounts in detail, Bailey said Granberry was repeatedly calling her a “dog” while trying to tie the baby to a seat inside his car.

“The next thing I knew is that things got physical among us,” Bailey said in the documents. “We fought among us, fighting and fighting. At one point, Darryl was throwing my hair. Then I hit my face on the steering wheel, causing the tooth to splinter me. Then I stopped fighting pain.”

Bailey included photos of her tooth and bruises in her arms in her presentation.

In March, he said that Granberry entered his house when he was not at home and sent him a text message with a photo of his bed along with a threatening message that he suggests that he was having sex with other men.

A few days later, he said, he rebuked her when she didn’t want to send her baby sick with him, and broke the ring camera on her porch when she realized that she was recording the confrontation. He said that when he called a relative for help, he took his phone and got on his car, hitting her while holding the baby. Bailey presented a police report on the incident.

He also asked that Granberry be ordered to stop using his transmission platforms on Twitch and YouTube to turn his followers against her.

“Every time you want to cause annoying, you start taking your several million fans badly,” he said in the documents. “He states that I am retaining our son and that I am with other men. As a result, I receive threats and hate in social networks.”

Granberry also received the order not to possess any weapons. The judge can extend the order for up to five years at the June 6 hearing.

DDG, from Pontiac, Michigan, first saw success as a video streamer and then as a hip-hop artist. On May 5, he released his fourth studio album, “Blame The Chat”, in Epic Records.

Bailey, from Atlanta, has been nominated for five Grammy awards as a solo artist and as part of Chloe X Halle, the duo with her sister who first brought her fame.

She starred in the “Grown -ish” situation comedy from 2018 to 2022, and in 2023 she performed the main character in the new live action version of Disney of “The Little Mermaid.”
