TCU Women First School outside California to win the Volleyball Championship of the NCAA Beach

Gulf shores, wing. – Daniela Álvarez and Tania Moreno de TCU came from behind to win the final game on Sunday when the frogs of second sown ended their first Women’s Beach Volleyball Championship of the NCAA with a 3-2 victory over the sown No. 4 Loyola Marymount.

TCU (32-5) is the first school that is not USC and UCLA to win the title. The Trojans won the first two and the previous four, while the Bruins won two consecutive in 2018-19.

Álvarez and Moreno, who took a free year to play at the Olympic Games, returned to end undefeated in four years as a duo. Álvarez and Moreno launched the first 18-21 game to Michelle Shaffer and Anna Pelloia de Lmu before gathering to win the last two 21-15 and 15-6.

The lions (38-7) eliminated USC No. 5 in the quarterfinals and the first level UCLA in the semifinals.

TCU Threes combines Sofia Izuzquizal and Allanis Navas obtained a point with a scan 21-16, 21-13.

The four couples Anhelina Khmil and Ana Vergara also made their way to a point with 21-14 and 21-19 victories. The duo ended 21-0 this season.

The Olympics finished the championship when the cornudas frogs won 12 in a row to finish the season.

LMU TWOS Pareja Chloe Hooker and Vilhelmiina Prihti obtained a point with a scan 21-16, 21-17. The five pairs Tanon Rosenthal and Giuliana Poletti Corrales had the other point with a couple of 21-16 victories.
