Detroit – Tarik Skubal struck out the 11 batters of the season in six dominant entries and the Detroit tigers finished a sweep of three games of the Baltimore Orioles with a 7-0 victory on Sunday.
Skubal (3-2) kept the Orioles four hits without walking. The current winner of the Cy Young award has five race games with 11 or more strikeouts.
Be Guenther struck out three in two tickets and Kenta Maeda got the last three outs to complete the bleached.
Gleyber Torres called three races when the Tigers completed a farm 8-2. Javier Báez had two hits, scored two races and led two more.
Jace Jung and Dillon Dingler added singles with annotation.
Baltimore Dean Kremer (2-4) operator yielded five races and four hits in 5 2/3 tickets. Orioles have lost six of their last seven games.
Báez gave the Tigers an early 2-0 advantage with its two-run to the left garden with two outs in the second entrance. Kremer got into trouble walking through Spencer Torkelson and Trey Sweeney.
Skubal has 12-1 with an effectiveness of 1.86 in 19 openings in Erica Park since the beginning of the 2024 season. It has 2-0 in three beginnings at home this year.
Baltimore RHP Tomoyuki Sugano (2-1, 3.54 Effectiveness) will begin the first game of a series of three games at home against the New York Yankees on Monday. Detroit RHP Jack Flaherty (1-2, 2.63) will start the first game of a series of three games in Houston.
