Roberto Cavalli turns on the Milan catwalk with burning creations inspired by the old Pompeii

Milan – Fausto Puglisi offered a great tour of Pompeya in his latest collection for Roberto Cavalli presented on Thursday during Milan Fashion Week.

Fiery Devore Velvet’s opening appearance giving way to silver and gold beautifully represented the damage caused by Vesubio when volcanic ashes rained in the old city in 79 d. C. The famous floral frescoes of the city appeared in silky tunics and velvet and velvet mines, while the sets were printed with faded marble patterns.

“I think it’s a magical place,” said Puglisi, creative director of the brand. “Through the eruption, everything was destroyed, but we can contemplate and admire the beauty of the Roman Empire in Pompeya.”

The silhouettes advanced from meaningless denim and clothes of the blouse in saturated prints, to sexy pattern prints used with false fur and fluid night dresses with molten lava prints.

The outer clothing of the Fall-Winter collection included an exuberant false fur, omnipresent on the tracks of Milan this season and luxurious black leather ditches with smoked coal accents, perhaps spots of the ashes of the old city.
