Review of the film: Sharks are not the most scary in the sea and super thriller 'dangerous animals'

As if a movie about Sharks It was not scary enough, the filmmakers behind “dangerous animals” have increased the screams by adding what each thriller needs, a serial killer.

While that may seem a very dangerous movements, the result is actually tense and well elaborated, a worthy birthday gift for “jaws”, Celebrating its 50th anniversary this summer.

“Dangerous animals” stars Jai Courtney As Captain of Australian boats who likes to feed his clients to sharks and record it on video, while offering small intelligent speeches about the nature of the makos, mosquitoes or fish candle while playing with his prey.

He knows what his Hassie Harrison’s Zephyr party seems, a American antisocial surf queen who lives in a van and refuses to be tied. “There was nothing for me on land,” she says. He is a handful for any serial killer, for example, he can choose locks with the ring of a bikini.

Nick Lepard’s script is muscular and satisfying, with winks to “Jaws”, of course, but also “Point Break”, “Hannibal” and even the song “Baby Shark”. He says he was inspired to write “dangerous animals” when seeing a bag of surf boards and imagining it carrying a body, which says something about how Lepard’s mind works, although we are not judging.

The director Sean Byrnes has a super capacity to generate fear and their scenes are clear without being exploiters. The film was filmed in Gold Coast of Queensland, but it can give a bite to the scarves of shark cages in the region. I am looking for twice even before taking showers now.

Zephyr and the serial murderer play an attractive chess game during most of the film, if by chess he is meaning that he is fighting to stay alive when he twisted with handcuffs and run or swim and is determined that she is shark food.

“Oh, you’re a fighter. I love fighters. It’s a better show,” he says, biting the landscape almost as brutally as Chompen Shats Chum.

What all serial murderers do, saying that he and his victim are similar. “You are hard as nails. Like me. You and me, we are sharks,” he says. She tells him to stop talking so much and calls him out oceanic.

The music department has a fun wink with the soundtrack. A scene uses the “Evie (part one)” by Steve Wright, in which the singer begs his love to let his hair hang, since the serial killer makes the memories leave the hair of his victims. Another moment, surprisingly, touches the “at last” wedding song by Etta James, just when the bad boy finally captures his quarry at centimeters from the rescue.

The scenario of a boat in the middle of the Coral Sea unlocks a delicious new home for terror. Sellable and nobody for miles means that screaming is not good. And the serial killer has armed Vegemite.

One thing that Zephyr has under his sleeve is a child, in love after a meeting in which he tries to make a robbery ice cream. He is interpreted by the jar Josh Heuston and are perfect for each other, but she resists until she is taken by our unpleasant boat captain. But although she made him fly, her son suspects her disappearance and is in hunting.

“Dangerous animals”, fortunately, do not try to be more than it is, although quite beautiful shark images slide through the ocean, naturally, that we are the species that inspired the title. After all, sharks do not see a surf table bag and wonder if they can put a body in it.

“Dangerous animals”, a launch of IFC Films in the cinemas on Friday, has a rating R by “strong content and violent bloody, spooky images, sexuality, language and brief consumption of drugs.” Execution time: 98 minutes. Three stars of four.
