Rapper Werenoi, the best -selling music artist in France in recent years, dies at 31 years

Paris – Rapper Werenoi, the best -selling music artist in France in recent years, died at the age of 31, said his producer and record company.

The artist, whose real name was Jérémy Bana Owona, was the number 1 album seller in France in 2023 and 2024, according to the classification of the National Union of the Phonographic Industry, which includes sales in the store and electronic commerce, as well as the reproductions of the transmission services.

“With immense sadness that we have learned from the death of Werenoi,” said his record company on Instagram. “All our thoughts are with his family, his loved ones, his team and all who knew him.”

The French media Werenoi report died early Saturday at a Hospital in Paris. The cause of his death has not been made public.

Werenoi became known for the first time by the French public in 2021 when he published his song “Guadalajara” on YouTube and was seen hundreds of thousands of times.

He released three albums, “Carré” in 2023, “Pyramide” next year and “Diamant Noir” last month, which makes it one of the most important names of French rap.
