Supervise AND Gamble will reduce up to 7,000 jobs, or approximately 6% of its global workforce, in the next two years as the Tide Detergent and Pampers Diapers manufacturer fights with costs and customers related to the rate that have anxious to the economy.
Employment cuts, announced at the Banco Deutsche consumer conference in Paris on Thursday, represent about 15% of their current non -manufacturing workforce, said Financial Director Andre Schulten.
“This restructuring program is an important step to guarantee our ability to deliver our long -term algorithm in the next two or three years,” said Schulten. “However, it does not eliminate the short -term challenges we currently face.”
Supervise AND Gamble, based in Cincinnati, had approximately 108,000 employees worldwide in June 2024.
The cuts are part of a broader restructuring program. Supervise AND Gamble will also end the sales of some of its products in certain markets. Supervise AND Gamble said he will provide more details about that in July.
