Pentagon accepts a luxury jet from Qatar to use as Air Force One

The United States officially accepted a luxury plane to use as Air Force One of Qatar, confirmed the Department of Defense to ABC News on Wednesday.

“The Secretary of Defense has accepted a Boeing 747 of Qatar according to all federal norms and regulations,” said Sean Parnell, pentagon chief spokesman, in a statement.

“The Department of Defense will work to guarantee adequate security measures and functional mission requirements are considered for an airplane used to transport the president of the United States,” he added.
