Pitt, 44, whose lawyers denied the accusations, was arrested on Friday for nine positions that include first -degree sexual abuse, criminal sexual acts, aggression, assault attempt and strangulation. The accusation cites four incidents between April 20 and August 2021 at Pitt’s house in Bushwick section of Brooklyn.
The Brooklyn district prosecutor’s office, Eric González, declined to comment on Wednesday beyond the accusations that appear in the accusation.
Pitt’s lawyer Jason Goldman said he already had exonerated evidence and expected the case to be dismissed.
“Unfortunately, we live in a world in which someone like Mr. Pitt, an consummated professional who would never contemplate these crimes, can be arrested by the non -corroborated word of an unreliable individual,” Goldman said in a text message to Associated Press.
He added: “Actually, this unfounded claim is suspiciously raised about four or five years after the alleged incident, of a time when the two parties were in a completely consensual relationship.”
Pitt declared himself innocent of the charges on Friday and registered a bail of $ 100,000, Goldman said. He will return in the court in Brooklyn on June 17.
Associated Press does not usually name the people who say they have been sexually abused unless they are publicly presented, what the woman in the case of Pitt has not done.
The accusation alleges that Pitt touched his ex -girlfriend sexually in April 2020. In August 2020, the grand jury alleges that Pitt forced oral sex in women and assaulted it with a piece of lament of 4 inches by 4 inches (10 centimeters for 10 centimeters).
The accusation also says that Pitt attacked it with a cement block twice in June 2021 and choked it in August 2021.
