Matthew Liberatore launches 6 whitled entrances to help cardinals to overcome Philis 7-0

San Luis — Matthew Liberatore launched six whitled entries, Willson Contreras and Jordan Walker Jonronaron and the San Luis cardinals beat the Philadelphia 7-0 Philis on Sunday.

Liberatore (1-1) allowed three hits, walked one and combined its maximum of the season with seven strikeouts.

Phil Maton, Jojo Romero and Kyle Leahy launched an entry without score for the cardinals, who obtained their second laundering of the season after blocking the Philis on Friday night.

Zack Wheeler (1-1) allowed four races and seven hits with a walk and three strikeouts in six innings.

Contreras hit his first homer of the season to the left garden in Wheeler in the fourth entrance to give the cardinals a 2-0 advantage. Contreras had not gone in his previous 25 games dating from August 10, 2024.

Brendan Donovan, Nolan Arenado and Nolan Gorman each duplicate along the left field line in the sixth to expand the advantage of the cardinals to 4-0.

Walker hit his second home run of the season to the left garden at the top of the seventh to put St. Louis ahead 7-0.

Philadelphia had runners in second and third base with one at the top of the second after Edmundo Sosa hit a single from a sun and advanced the second in the failed attempt of St. Louis to throw JT Realmuto in the third. Liberatore then struck Brandon Marsh and induced a weak territory of Johan Rojas to escape the jam.

St. Louis won his first series against Philadelphia from June 20 to 22, 2017. The cardinals had gone 0-9-3 in their last 12 series against the Philis.

Filis: RHP Taijuan Walker (1-0, 0.00 ERA) faces the San Francisco Rhp Landen Roupp (0-1, 3.60 effectiveness) to open a seven-game farm on Monday night.

Cardinals: Houston’s host on Monday night, when RHP Sonny Gray (2-0, 4.50 effectiveness) will oppose LHP Framber Valdez (1-1, 2.50 effectiveness) to open a series of three games.
