Toronto – This weekend is becoming a home for Denzel Clarke.
The 25 -year rookie of athletics reached his first home run of the major league on Saturday, deepening the Rogers Center in his hometown of Toronto.
Clarke told the journalists last week that he expected that 150-200 friends and family attend the series of four games, and that he has given them a lot to cheer up so far.
After going 1 by 19 with 15 strikeouts in its first six games as a great garnish, he connected twice and recorded his first rbi of the big leagues in a 11-7 Loss Friday night. He also made a striking defensive play when he jumped to the wall of the central garden to steal Alejandro Kirk from a home run in the fourth entrance.
Oakland got 4-3 at the top of the second Saturday when Clarke, hitting No. 9 in the order, stepped on the plate against Braydon Fisher with a man at the base and one outside. Clarke Hambled the first launch of Fisher 406 feet in the seats of the left field for an advantage of 5-4.
Clarke, the diamondback cousin of the Arizona, the first base Josh Naylor and the Cleveland Guardians, Bo Naylor, played university baseball in Cal State Northridge and was a selection of Fourth Round Draft of Athletics in 2021.
I was playing in Triple-A Las Vegas when it was called to the older on May 23.
