Melbourne, Australia – Lewis Hamilton’s relationship with his new Ferrari team was tested by pressure in Australia, where he finished a tenth disappointing in the debut, and felt frustrated by a bad strategy on Sunday that cost him a potential victory and a constant radio talk during the difficult race Cattle by Lando Norris de McLaren.
Hamilton began eighthand passed the first third behind the rear wing of Alex Albon by Williams. But, while the seven -time world champion reached the front in Tour 46 after those who face fresh intermediate tires, Hamilton declared angry on the radio of the team that “we lost a great opportunity” after a later traffic and a late stop returned it to the ninth.
Leaving another place for the tenth after Oscar Piastri beat the British in the last round did little to lighten Hamilton’s mood.
“The rain always combines things and the strategy is reduced to time and a little luck,” said the 40 -year -old man. “We took a bet and invented places, but then boxing too late for inters (intermediate tires) cost us, leaving us to the back of the 10 best with too much ground to recover.”
Hamilton also had trouble keeping his Ferrari in a straight line, showing how much the prancing horse has to do to make a collection of his rhythm.
“I struggled with balance, but it was an important career to learn more about the car and in different climatic conditions, as well as gain more experience working with a new team,” said Hamilton.
