Chicago will dye its brilliant green river while opening celebrations of the day of St. Patricio

Chicago – The Chicago River is once again shining to Kelly Green when the city opens its annual celebrations of St. Patrick’s Day.

Thousands of rise aligned the river and packed the bridges on Saturday and exploded in cheers when the members of the Chicago Journeymen Flumbers union 130 sprayed dye in the water of the boats, continuing a tradition that began about 63 years ago.

The dye immediately precedes the annual parade of the day of the center of San Patricio. The day, which falls on Monday of this year, celebrates the Irish culture. San Patricio is the patron saint of Ireland and is attributed to having brought Christianity there in the 5th century.

The dye is not toxic. While the river remains bright for several hours, it can remain a color trace for days.

A second parade of San Patricio’s Day was scheduled for Sunday on the southern side of Chicago.
