Phoenix – Jordan Beck hit two home runs and a triple, driving in three races and scoring four to gather the Colorado rockies of a five-run deficit to a 14-12 victory over Arizona’s diamondbacks on Saturday night.
Ezequiel Tovar had five hits, including his first home run this season, and the Rockies de las Major Leagues (8-37) broke a luggage run of four games when delivering to the Diamondbacks (24-22) their first defeat in 152 games by scoring at least 12 races.
Beck launched an initial homer and Hunter Goodman hit a two-run shot when Colorado took a 3-0 advantage against Zac Gallen three batters in the game. Beck’s eighth home run, a touch of a touch shot Ryan Thompson (1-1) in the seventh entrance, put Colorado 13-11.
Tovar was 5 by 6 and ended a double cycle.
Arizona used RBI singles of Ketel Marte and Eugenio Suárez and a launching error of Tovar in the campocorto to tie it to 3 in the first against the opener Germán Márquez. The triple of two races by Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and a simple RBI by Pavin Smith did it 6-3 in the second.
Tovar Iron Leading the third and Kyle Farmer added a two -run shot to tie it 6.
Suarez greeted the reliever Angel Chivilli with his 14th home run, Alek Thomas hit the first and Corbin Carroll added a simple RBI for a 10-6 advantage in Arizona in the room. Suárez’s sacrifice fly put the diamondbacks for five in the fifth.
Goodman had a two-run single and the farmer added a double two races of Jalen Beeks in the sixth to take Colorado to 11-10. Michael Toglia tied him with a double.
Gallen allowed six races and eight hits in five entries.
Márquez launched 82 launches and allowed seven races, five won, in three tickets. Jake Bird (1-1) threw a race in two entries for victory, and Seth Halvorsen won three outs for his second rescue.
Colorado sent eight batters to the plate in the seventh and eighth, scoring seven races from the diamondbacks.
Gallen resigned of four home runs in the first three entries. It allowed four home runs again, launching 5 1/3 entries in a defeat against the Dodgers in 2023.
Colorado RHP Chase Dollander (2-4, 6.88 Era) begins Sunday against RHP Merrill Kelly (4-2, 3.71).
