Novak Djokovic ends the Andy Murray training association

London – Novak Djokovic is being divided with coach Andy Murray, only two weeks ahead of the France Open.

Murray representatives said in a statement on Tuesday that the two former players No. 1 classified “will no longer be working together.”

“Thanks to Novak for the incredible opportunity to work together and thanks to his team for all his hard work in the last six months,” Murray said. “I wish Novak all the best for the rest of the season.”

Djokovic thanked Murray in a publication on social networks “for all hard work, fun AND support during the last six months in AND out of the court. ”

“I really enjoyed deepening our friendship together,” Djokovic wrote.

Djokovic and Murray linked strength ahead of the Australian Open in what was initially seen as an unlikely pairing. After Murray retired last year, Djokovic contacted the training proposal.

Djokovic said in February that Murray had agreed to remain in a period of “indefinite”, including “some tournaments of the clay court” this season. Djokovic has not yet won a tournament this season, losing at the Miami and Madrid finals to leave him a 100 title in his career.
