Arlington, Texas – The two -way star, Shohei Ohtani, is now a father.
The Slugger of Los Angeles Dodgers posted on Instagram on Saturday that his wife gave birth to a girl. Manager Dave Roberts also recognized the news in an interview in the game during the 4-3 defeat in the Texas Rangers on Saturday.
“Congratulations sho!” Roberts proclaimed as he said he wasn’t sure what the baby was called.
Ohtani, 30, was lost the first two games of the series that coincide with the last two World Series champions. Before Saturday’s game, Roberts said he didn’t have an update on the baby, but he hoped Ohtani joined the club for the end of the series on Sunday.
The Japanese star had said that he and his wife, the former 28 -year -old professional basketball player, Mamiko Tanaka, waited for a baby in 2025.
“I am very grateful to my beloved wife who gave birth to our healthy and beautiful daughter,” Ohtani wrote on Instagram. “For my daughter, thanks for putting very nervous but super anxious parents.”
