Milwaukee – Pat Connaughton had 43 points in his career and a maximum of 11 rebounds, since the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Detroit Pistons 140-133 in extra time on Sunday to close the regular season in a winning streak of eight games.

Giannis Antetokounmpo de Milwaukee, Cade Cunningham of Detroit and several other regular customers did not play with both teams already locked in their playoff positions. The fifth sowing bucks face Indiana and the sixth -sized pistons face New York in the first round of the playoffs.

Milwaukee’s habitual headline to play was Kyle Kuzma, who scored 22 points in the first quarter before sitting the rest of the game. Tyler Smith added 20 points and Pete Nance had 19 for the Bucks.

Pistons: Beasley was 7 of 11 from beyond the arch to end the regular season with 319 triples of his career. Beasley entered the day in just a 3 -point basket behind the NBA leader, Anthony Edwards, whose Minnesota Timberwolves were playing later on Sunday.

Bucks: Everything that mattered to Milwaukee was to stay healthy for the playoffs. Bucks achieved it to rest to most of their main boys.

With both teams deeply in their banks, the Pistons erased an eight -point deficit in the last 15 seconds of regulation to force extra time. Waters tied the game by sinking a triple with 1.9 seconds remaining in the last quarter.

The list of players with career score included Jamaree Bouyea de Milwaukee (15), Nance and Smith, as well as Bobi Klintman (15) and Tolu Smith (14) of Detroit. Klintman had never scored a point in a NBA game before Sunday. Tolu Smith also had eight rebounds in his NBA debut.

The Pistons and Bucks will begin their respective first -round playoff series, either on Saturday or Sunday.
