Skopje, Macedonia del Norte – A massive fire that exploded on Sunday morning in a nightclub in the eastern city of Kocani in northern Macedonia, has killed 51 people and wounded about 100 more, Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski, a press conference, said to a press conference.
The fire began around 2:35 am during a concert of a local pop group, according to Toshkovski. He said that young people attending the club used pyrotechnics that caused the roof to catch fire. The videos showed chaos inside the nightclub, with young people running through the smoke while the musicians urged people to escape as quickly as possible.

Family members have met in front of hospitals and offices in the city of Kocani asking the authorities to obtain more information.
Toshkovski said the police arrested a man, but did not provide details about the person’s participation.
