2 injured in the University Campus

At least two people were injured in a shooting at the Campus of Norfolk State University in Virginia on Saturday night, police said.

“The Norfolk police continues to investigate a shooting in the 2200 block of Presidential Parkway,” said Norfolk Police Department in a statement.

Police said they received a call informing the shooting around 11:30 pm on Saturday. The campus is locked early on Sunday while an investigation is being conducted, according to ABC News affiliate, WVEC.

Two men were transported to a local hospital, police said, added that one had potentially mortal injuries.

A spokesman for the campus, Stan Donaldson, told WveC that the Campus and the City Police responded to the shooting in the Greek row of the Campus.

“There is an ongoing investigation and there is no more information available,” Donaldson told WveC.
