Watsonville, California – A woman and her adult daughter were arrested after a baby died in an illegal nursery ran in the center of California, authorities said.
The agents responded around 10:30 am on Saturday after the reports of a baby who did not breathe in a house in Royal Oaks, according to a statement from the Sheriff’s Office of the County of Monterey.
The 3 -month -old boy was declared dead in a hospital, according to the statement.
Up to 30 children were inside the residence near Watsonville on the central coast of the state, Sheriff’s officials said.
A 62 -year -old woman and her 35 -year -old daughter, both residents of Royal Oaks, were arrested to investigate the accusations, including the suspicion of involuntary homicide, child abuse and operation of an unauthorized childhood care center, authorities said.
His bond was set at $ 50,000 each.
